NES Global Talent in the UK raises £600 for Macmillan
The NES head office held a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday 30th September and in a separate event our staff members had a donut eating competition, raising a total of £600. In the UK, there are 2.5 million people living with cancer. The charity’s goal is to ensure people suffering from cancer don’t do so alone, providing medical, financial, and emotional support for both sufferers and their families. The first Macmillan Coffee Morning happened in 1990, with a simple idea that guests would drink coffee and tea together whilst donating the cost of their drink to Macmillan. Since then, the campaign has raised £138 million in total, and last year the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ raised £25 million for Macmillan.
Sure Flow Services assist residents in Alberta affected by the wild fire

NES Sure Flow staff and the residents of Bonnyville (4 hours from Fort McMurray) together managed to fill a trailer with supplies, which was then driven up to Athabasca community centres that housed families from Fort McMurray. A second trailer was then collected of clothing, toys and essential supplies and dispersed locally to evacuees. The team also held a BBQ on Mother's Day for approximately 125 evacuees.
