A major Operator in Aberdeen is looking for a Senior Petrophysicist to join their team on a contract basis. As a senior petrophysicist in one of the project teams you will contribute to the petrophysical work content and quality of the study, including the transfer to and acceptance of the work by the customer. You will provide all petrophysics input in a team working on development studies. Such a team consists of staff from both subsurface and surface discipline.
Stakeholder engagement is required. These engagements require occasional visits to the customers.
As part of your role you will be expected to keep abreast of new technology developments in R&D, which will enable you to stimulate implementation of appropriate new technologies into projects.
Key elements of the job will include the following:
Provide study support to the integrated team, including e.g. fully integrated interpretation of log / core & other well data, following relevant data / interpretations through into the (3D) sub-surface static and dynamic models, defining associated key uncertainties / risks & opportunities, core analysis & reservoir surveillance programmes, Value of Information - where appropriate.
Provide operational PP support (this pending operational engagement of the relevant project team).
Participate in project framing exercises, discipline and integrated peer reviews, and presenting ops/study progress / results to customers at regular milestone meetings.
Pursue application of appropriate (new) evaluation (& data acquisition) technologies (where appropriate).
Facilitate frequent communication with peers in your team and other teams, such that opportunities for synergy, knowledge & technology transfer are realized.
Qualifications & Experience:
University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Geology or equivalent technical subject
12+ years experience of relevant discipline with considerable exposure to conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
Effective communicator; experienced & effective coach/mentor
A sound grasp of the latest PP technologies.
Hands-on experience with reservoir modeling and integrated, cross-discipline workflows.
Skilled in data QA/QC, data upscaling and assessment of data and model uncertainties.
Experience in a Region, including involvement in the formulation, construction and execution of field development plans and participation in integrated field studies and reservoir modeling work.
Knowledge of seismically constrained reservoir modeling, inversion and methods of incorporating seismic information into static models is desirable; - willingness to expand petrophysical skills into QI seen as a key enabler.

The Senior Geophysicist Consultant must have strong academic background, ideally to Degree level in Geology / Geoscience or a related discipline.
The candidate will provide geophysical input to multi-disciplinary projects, from frontier exploration through discovery appraisal to field development and production. You will perform 2D and 3D seismic interpretation and analysis using appropriate, state-of-the-art techniques to provide Best in Class solutions for the client. Presenting the data, interpretations, and reports to clients either individually or as part of the larger project team.
The ideal candidate will advise clients on geophysical matters and provides solutions. You may manage large multi-disciplinary project teams and/or multiple projects simultaneously, handling special projects, as assigned.

My client is a major international oil & gas company, operating one of the largest LNG projects in Australia. They are currenlty ramping up recruitment for their subsea team and require an experienced Subsea Valves, Connectors and Piping Engineer in Perth.
Role:
Provide support to the Subsea Umbilicals Risers and Flowlines (SURF) Group for all valves, connectors and piping throughout the execution phase
Act as technical authority within SURF Package for valves, connectors and piping and implement a correct and complete scope in compliance with the SURF EPCI Contract requirements
Liaise and interface with the Materials and Welding Engineer for the validation of qualification scopes / schedules for valves, connectors and piping and approval of test input parameters and procedures
Responsible for valves, connectors and piping design and procurement and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and quality requirements and industry best practice principles are applied to project.
Lead / participate in Design Review, HAZID / ENVID, Constructability Review workshops etc
Resolve valves, connectors and piping related interface issues and technical queries
Provide technical leadership for all aspects of valves, connectors and piping design, manufacture, fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning activities.
Anticipate, identify and resolve detailed valves, connectors and piping technical issues in an efficient and cost effective manner
Define, monitor and manage work tasks with external consultants / contractors as required
Follow-up work progress from the EPCI Contractor, including procurement, manufacturing and testing activities, to ensure that the scope is completed on schedule
Required:
Bachelors degree in engineering
10 years + experience specifically in subsea valves design, manufacturing, testing and installation for the Oil & Gas Industry
Proven track record holding similar position within other projects for the design, manufacturing, testing and installation of subsea valves and connectors / piping
Subsea valve selection (ball/gate), design, materials and specification including ROV and hydraulic actuators for high pressure and temperature service
Interacting with subsea, process, materials and operations disciplines
Familiarity with diverless subsea connection systems including selection, design, manufacture testing and ROV tooling
Previous experience working in client team on EPCI / EPCM contracts and working with relevant internationally recognized design codes / standards
High awareness of safe working practices on offshore construction projects
Willing to travel as required for business both internal and overseas
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
This is a full time contract role based in the Perth CBD.
