Due to continued growth my client is looking to add a Business Development Manager - EMEA to focus on delivering Sales & New Business Development opportunities based around the clients consulting, training and software solutions in the field of geomechanics.

My client is a specialist division of a global oil & natural gas company. This specialist division is an acknowledged international leader in the field of geomechanics and its application to oil & gas reservoir mechanics.

The Business Development Manager - EMEA position will be based in the UK or Europe and will report directly to the Region Manager. In addition to direct sales responsibility, this position involves managing and working with other divisions within the organisation to further develop business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be a self starter who, through scouting, develops and implements strategic and tactical marketing plans for introduction of consulting business, particularly geomechanics and real-time pore pressure, into new geographic areas and/or introduction of new business into already established areas and clients.

A team player who facilitates the formation of alliances or joint ventures, including effective communication between all stakeholders - customers & company, plus assures strategies and tactics are consistent with overall objectives for the organisation.

You will prioritizes product opportunities to maximize sales and profits based on scouting, including proposal generation & ensure on-time delivery, whilst monitoring and evaluating programs and expenditures, including accounts receivable.

A highly effective communicator with proven presentation skills, you will be able to influence at the highest levels, whilst maintaining excellent listening skills.

Extensive travel within the region is required, so additional language skills would be advantageous but are not essential

As an integral and pivotal member of the team, you will have a combination of proven sales experience and a strong technical background with a degree in engineering or geosciences required.

A major Operator in Aberdeen is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The Mechanical Engineer will manage multiple EPCI contractor`s workscopes and provide technical and engineering advice in relation to mechanical engineering.
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the activities relating to the modifications to the reception platform (Engineering / Procurement / Construction / Installation) contract.

In addition, the Mechanical Engineer will act as focal point for the technical and engineering process activities as follows:
Attendance at Project Meetings
Liaison with the Engineering Manager on a day to day basis providing feedback on contractors` engineering performance
Liaison with the design Contractors on issues with regard to mechanical engineering
Review/Approve Contractors design specifications and drawings
Identify outstanding design issues through the Engineering Manager
Assist Engineering Manager with technical responses to Contractors technical queries
Assist Engineering manager if SOR requires technical change
Assist with the raising of commissioning procedures
Contribute mechanical technical knowledge to the operational procedures
Perform the role of company package engineer for several mechanical packages
Participate in technical reviews and lay out meetings
Coordinate and control all Mechanical Engineering activities within the project scope and ensure that they are carried out in accordance with Company procedures, recommendations and statutory requirements
Maintain highly effective communications links with the project team members, Company contacts and key Contractors representative
Provide the corresponding Mechanical Engineering services and technical expertise for the project activities

Qualifications & Experience:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential
Knowledge of the following additional engineering disciplines would be advantageous:-
Piping
Pipeline
Experience of raising/reviewing procedures, specifications, technical reports is required
Relevant experience gained within the Oil and Gas industry, preferably within a project environment
Experience of HP positive displacement pumps, vessels and HVAC
Experience of static mechanical / pressurised equipment and HVAC is required
Candidates should possess a current Offshore Survival Certificate (BOSIET) plus a current Offshore Medical Certificate

Willingness to travel to Engineering Contractor`s office in Europe is essential (normally 3 - 4 days every 3 weeks, or so)

The successful candidate will have good all round Piping Knowledge in Design and Construction/Implementation. Good understanding of Piping material types, joining/construction mechanism/types, valving, Process Operations/systems, static equipment knowledge, etc

Main Duties:
Conducting offshore surveys, piping engineering deliverables, workpacks, Reports/SoW/BoDs, Estimates etc within agreed Project time scales. (Preferably with Offshore Survival and Medical Certificates but not essential)

Qualifications:
HNC minimum

Experience:

Position description
Senior Concept Engineer This role is to carry out Concept Engineering in support of Upstream Development. PTU/E has a team of Concept Engineers engaged in Upstream Development studies and consultancy level engineering skills to the business. PTU/E works with its UI, NBD and Exploration customers to deliver the highest return on investment from their hydrocarbon opportunities by:
- Identifying and selecting the optimum facilities concept by working in and leading integrated discipline/business teams.
- Optimising the asset performance throughout its lifetime.
- Finding innovative and cost effective engineering solutions that are integrated into the TECOP spectrum, to unlock reserves and to optimise and improve production capacities of the surface facilities.

Most of the Upstream Development Study work is in the Identify and Assess and Select ORP phases leading to the acceptance of a Field Development Plan by the appropriate Decision Review Board. Consultancy is also provided across the project lifecycle with an increasing workload in very early, pre-DG1 phases and in later phases for trouble-shooting, de-bottlenecking and Production System Optimisation.

Requirements
Deliver preliminary concept designs and models for gas production systems
Manage and carry out conceptual engineering and optimisation studies in order to define gas engineering projects in terms of technical scope, cost execution strategy and duration
Develop regional perspectives on gas production and gas movements (pipelines, LNG, storage, etc)
Co-ordinate internal and external interfaces and manage their resolution
Occasionally contribute to the development of departmental plans and work methods
Maintain and develop skills and to pass on knowledge and experience to other team members
Ensure that opportunities are reviewed and understood in the broader sense of impact

Experience and Qualifications.
Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Candidate should have 8+ years plus of broad technical/commercial experience preferably across upstream (EP and Gas) and downstream (Refining and Chemicals).
A high degree of skill or mastery in relevant concept engineering skills for the upstream and front end engineering.
You should be an experienced technical professional with a solid technical background, good communication and inter-personal skills coupled with strong hands-on operating experience.
Candidates must have direct and relevant experience in at least one of the following areas: construction, commissioning and operations for gas facilities.
Any previous experience in the development of difficult hydrocarbons (EOR, tight gas, sour gas, CBM, CCS) will be a benefit.

The Marine Engineer supports the topside lead engineer in his responsibility for the direction and coordination of the delivery of the FPSO. Particular focus is on the safe, timely delivery of the upgraded FPSO.

Key Accountabilities
- Ensure that corporate and local Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and regulations are applied on project activities.
- Provides an assessed response by analysing, diagnosing and using professional judgement.
- Coordinate the engineering elements of the project to ensure that the Company`s technical performance and integrity requirements are met.
- Review and develop contract Invitation to Tender technical packages and coordinate evaluation of technical submissions.
- Participate in Hazop and safety related reviews.
- Contribute to risk identification and mitigation reviews.
- Coordinate the interface with Operations to ensure timely agreement of mutual work scope, tie-ins, operability and maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate plans with Operations for readiness, commissioning and handover.
- Ensure the development and application of project documentation management processes.
- Capture and distribute Lessons Learned.
- And in a leadership role of the Project Team, be pro-active in performing any tasks necessary to make the project a success.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attributes
- FPSO experience is essential. Norway experience is preferred.
- Technical professional with proven experience in Marine and Naval engineering disciplines and with delivery of FPSO projects.
- Has verifiable performance and delivery experience in a number of responsible project assignments, including cultural or geographical variation, working as a team member
- Able to apply appropriate technical standards and lead negotiations with contractors to deliver technical requirements
- An understanding of discipline interfaces and the project development and delivery process are needed to enable quality control of contractor technical work, and ensure appropriate techniques and standards are applied and improvement opportunities are realised.
- Able to apply HSE principles across all project technical activities
- Experience of project control systems and procedures supported by current software applications e.g. Excel, MS Project, @Risk, Primavera P3.
- Educated in an engineering discipline (first degree preferred, HND minimum or equivalent).
- Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution, or equivalent, preferred.
- Fluent in English
