Our client is looking to recruit a Planning Engineer. You will be responsible for creating, monitoring and updating individual project and combined portfolio programme of works for Transmission Network engineering and construction projects using standard and established IT tools. Providing regular and ad-hoc reports on project performance to assist delivery projects on-time, within budget whilst achieving excellent customer service. You will support your own and other associated department staff with Programme related works and implement the use of standard programme/planning tools.
Job Specification:
Responsible for managing the project programme/schedule of a number of projects.
Creation of new programme of works based on the standard models.
Support to Project Managers on the development of new programmes.
Liaise with Project Managers to obtain the information periodically, updating the programmes and feeding back with progress reports.
Liaise with client representatives to ensure everyone is working from the same up to date and accurate programmes.
Responsible for maintaining and updating IT tools to report project status to clients and management.
Coordinate with own and other associated department staff to deliver a consistent approach to programme management.
Provide programme outputs for updating other associated reporting/management tools.
Attending and inputting into regular internal and external meetings providing reports and programme views where required.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge of main configuration and general arrangements of transmission networks infrastructures e.g. substations, overhead lines and cable.
Significant experience scheduling/programming/planning project and portfolio works using IT and software tools: Primavera P5, MS Project etc.
Significant experience planning/programming engineering and construction works in a portfolio environment.
Significant experience of MS Office tools: Excel, Access, etc.
Good communication skills.
Ability to prepare reports with information relevant to multi-disciplinary staff at various levels.
Ability to implement and maintain quality assurance processes.
Proven experience working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-department environment and able to obtain information from parties out with your direct control.
Proven ability to lead and work in a team environment.
Minimum Criteria
Knowledge of major transmission engineering and construction projects.
Significant experience in programme planning / scheduling in an engineering and construction project portfolio environment.
Significant experience of MS Project and Primavera P5.
Degree/HND in relevant Planning/Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

Our client has a bio refinery based in the Humberside area. When fully operational they will be one of the largest ethanol producersin Europe and the UK`s largest single source supplier of animal feed.
They are currently looking to recruit a Performance Manager or Shift Manager. The incumbent will manage a team of 4 day support technicians, made up of two control room operators a wheat and DDGS plant technician and a liquefaction, fermentation and distillation technician. The purpose of this team is to:
1. Provide shift cover for the corresponding shift team roles.
2. Support planned/scheduled activities, requiring additional in field technician or control room technician resource.
3. Support for troubleshooting plant operational issues.
4. A resource for to work with the science manager and production engineer.
The role will report into the Production Manager. The purpose of the role is to carry out day support activities and operate all unit operations of the Bio-ethanol plant as required. Ensuring that all systems are operated safely, efficiently and with maximum availability, that emergency systems are maintained in a state of readiness and availability. The incumbent is trained to operate all areas of the bio-ethanol plant in order to provide shift cover for the PSM. The prime contributions of this role include supporting development activities for continuous improvement of performance, covering the absence of shift technicians where this is required to alleviate the impact of any sustained 12hr working, carrying out planning and scheduling for production activities, co-ordination of supplies and logistics, training and competence validation of production teams, carrying out COSHH and other formal risk assessments with respect to control of work including PTW issuing authority. The DPM is also responsible (when required) for the preparation and isolation of plant and equipment for maintenance and reinstatement, including pressure and leak testing. Carry out emergency response duties as per the site emergency plans.
The ideal candidate will already have experience gained in a similar role within a COMAH industry. They will be a pro active team player with strong communication, coaching, team leadership and maintenance skills.
