Our client has a bio refinery based in the Humberside area. When fully operational they will be one of the largest ethanol producersin Europe and the UK`s largest single source supplier of animal feed.
They are currently looking to recruit a Performance Manager or Shift Manager. The incumbent will manage a team of 4 day support technicians, made up of two control room operators a wheat and DDGS plant technician and a liquefaction, fermentation and distillation technician. The purpose of this team is to:
1. Provide shift cover for the corresponding shift team roles.
2. Support planned/scheduled activities, requiring additional in field technician or control room technician resource.
3. Support for troubleshooting plant operational issues.
4. A resource for to work with the science manager and production engineer.

The role will report into the Production Manager. The purpose of the role is to carry out day support activities and operate all unit operations of the Bio-ethanol plant as required. Ensuring that all systems are operated safely, efficiently and with maximum availability, that emergency systems are maintained in a state of readiness and availability. The incumbent is trained to operate all areas of the bio-ethanol plant in order to provide shift cover for the PSM. The prime contributions of this role include supporting development activities for continuous improvement of performance, covering the absence of shift technicians where this is required to alleviate the impact of any sustained 12hr working, carrying out planning and scheduling for production activities, co-ordination of supplies and logistics, training and competence validation of production teams, carrying out COSHH and other formal risk assessments with respect to control of work including PTW issuing authority. The DPM is also responsible (when required) for the preparation and isolation of plant and equipment for maintenance and reinstatement, including pressure and leak testing. Carry out emergency response duties as per the site emergency plans.
The ideal candidate will already have experience gained in a similar role within a COMAH industry. They will be a pro active team player with strong communication, coaching, team leadership and maintenance skills.

Reporting directly into the Director Rotating Plant and Logistics they currently have a vacancy for a General Manager Industrial Steam Turbine Service. This role is part of the Rotating Plant and Logistics Senior Management Team and will be responsible for the safe and profitable operation of the Thermal Service, North Europe Industrial steam turbine service business

The role will involve:
- Ensuring that budgeted order targets are met
- Managing health, safety and environmental protection improvement measures
- Forecasting and developing new business
- Managing IST service accounts
- Interfacing directly with customers including the resolution of disputes and pro-active collaboration to develop additional customer value.

Candidates should be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a technical discipline; have extensive practical experience in a closely related field; ideally hold a post graduate business qualification; knowledge of the Industrial Steam and the associated product range; an understanding of the contracting environment; experience within both an operational and strategic decision making environment; experience of managing large budgets; an understanding of our clients internal technical support structure of Service Area Centre`s and global functions; possess excellent demonstrable communication, presentation and influencing skills; ability to motivate team members and be proficient in a variety of MS Office applications

This role is based in Leicester shire however the role does require frequent UK travel and occasional overseas travel.

Production Team Leader

Our Client is responsible for developing and improving the production processes for solid propellant rocket motors. The processes themselves are used for low volume, batch production and involve a wide range of techniques for assembling metallic, plastic and polymeric components using adhesively bonded or mechanical joints. Many of the components are formed on site especially those involving energetic materials. Others are formed off site by their suppliers.

The team works very closely with the design team and the operations department to ensure that the production processes are fit for purpose. The team is also supported by the materials team which has specialists in all the materials concerned.

Responsibilities of the role;

Adapting existing production processes to new rocket motors.

Developing and commissioning new production processes.

Pilot manufacture of prototypes and initial production batches.

Creating and maintaining process documentation, e.g. manufacturing methods.

Monitoring process cost, wastage and capability.

Identifying and implementing process improvements, e.g. cost savings.

Investigating and resolving production problems.

Designing and commissioning tooling and equipment

Generating capital expenditure cases for new equipment.

Managing the production engineering team, e.g. staff development.

Implementing standard production engineering processes.
