NES Global are currently seeking an experienced offshore installation engineer for a major EPC company in Houston with a significant global footprint.

Job Description

- Ability to plan, manage and execute subsea installation projects in offshore environment with priority in safety and quality throughout project execution
- Interface with all levels of project team from client to main contractors and sub-contractors.
- Work independently and may be required to represent on behalf of client or company
- Familiarity with installation vessels and equipments, ROVs
- Assigned at site and/or installation vessel to supervise installation activities. Prepare detailed installation procedures for offshore installation
- Prepare tender documents for offshore installation contract and any other sub-contracts
- Evaluate of tenders, prepare recommendation documentation for various bids, tenders
- Works as senior member in an integrated project team providing leadership and direction
- Plans, develops and directs project team in the execution of projects that may include interface with outside agencies and contractors
- Provide critical review of work procedures, design reports by others for validity and conformance to industry standards
- Has extensive experience in, and maintains an awareness of current industry practices, equipment and relevant projects.
- Review construction specifications, project schedules, equipment specifications
- Must be able to demonstrate and execute all aspects of project management capabilities: safety, quality, survey, procurement, schedule, offshore construction and installation
- Provide technical expertise to team and clients

Job Requirements
- Bachelor`s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural or mechanical) or equivalent
- 7-10 years offshore marine experience in installation of SURF equipment: subsea pipelines, flexible riser, umbilicals, PLETs, jumpers with some leadership roles
- Possess good communication, written and oral skills
- Familiarity and basic understanding of industry codes and standards
- Must be willing and able to travel, both domestically and internationally

Technical Safety Engineer - EPC

Responsibilities are to ensure that a structured process is adopted to keep residual risks As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP). Focus is on the control of Major Accident Hazards (MAH) associated with the project. Supervises, coordinates and directs the Technical Safety discipline work of engineers and designers in the preparation of technical reports, technical specifications, drawings and purchase requisitions.Ensures the engineers and designers under supervision are properly advised of the overall scope of work (e.g. HSE requirements, allocated tasks, budgeted hours and timeframe)RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Masters degree preferred. Typically 10+ years of relevant experience.General interest in developments in the field of Technical and Process Safety. Detailed knowledge of the application of safer design and risk-based design on projects. Good understanding of concepts of fire systems and emergency response.

Undertake Environmental consultancy related works for conceptual, Pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design projects and operational support works.
Accountable to the Operations Director and Divisional Director to deliver
quality solutions and provide excellent customer service. Actively participate in
the environmental consultancy including planning, staffing and execution of
projects.
Support the Houston Operations Director in business development to build the
regions business. Assist in expanding the environmental consultancy by
winning work and building strong customer relationships. Undertake business
development wherever the opportunity presents itself.

Minimum of BSc in an Environmental discipline or equivalent

RESPONSIBILITES

- Testing and tuning includes machinery testing, control loop tuning and troubleshooting.

- Pre-commission activities including system checkout, instrumentation calibration, loop checks, and communication testing.

- Remote technical support, systems engineering support and troubleshooting.

- Aftermarket and sales support.

- Customer management, training and installation/site supervision.

- Mentorship.

- Prepare administrative documents (expenses, reports, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor`s degree in Engineering from four-year college or university; or related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Knowledge of at least two hardware platforms; experienced with general company applications.

- Bilingual or multilingual preferred. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

- Knowledge of basic computer hardware and peripherals. Knowledge of Windows, MS Office and company product-related software.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, reports, and documents.

- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

- Ability to effectively present information to customers, management and co-workers.

Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations.

- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

- Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
