NES are currently seeking a Senior Construction Engineer for a large global offshore EPC based in Houston. The ideal candidate will already have solid offshore project experience including experience with FPSOs, FSOs, MOPUs, TLPs, as well as drilling and production Semi-submersibles.
The Senior Construction Engineer is responsible for:
- Assisting in technical & commercial evaluation/selection of fabrication yards.
- Identifying yard/commercial impacts to Project Manager & assist in negotiations with fabrication yards.
- Ensuring that design and quality requirements are maintained during construction phase.
- Ensuring constructability aspect is taken into account during engineering phase.
- Using feedback from the sites to provide engineering with information which could be used to develop better products.
- Ensuring that engineering deliverables are available for site when required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates will possess a degree in Engineering (Structural, Naval Architecture, or Construction) with a minimum of 8 years experience in Engineering or Site Supervision execution in the offshore construction industry. Candidates MUST have experience on projects involving offshore structures.
Candidates should also have familiarity with National and International Codes (ABS, API, IMO, etc) and Standards and Classification Society Rules, as well as working knowledge of normal commercial and marine fabrication materials, procedures, and capabilities. Candidates must be prepared for 30 to 50% travel in this position.

- Ability to plan, manage and execute subsea installation projects in offshore environment with priority in safety and quality throughout project execution
