Roles and Responsibilities:

- Act as a mentor or trainer to other less experienced CA`s.

- Works as a part of a larger multi-disciplinary team to solve project contracting issues.

- Able to form and administer all forms of complex contracts in the $100 M (UR/LS) or $150 M (RC) ranges.

- Ability to liaise with senior project management

- Initiate and maintain the individual contract.

- Be the primary contact with outside parties in arranging contractual relations.

- Receive questions and issue RFP addenda or clarifications.

- Receive and respond to all RFP communication.

- Coordinate of the evaluation process.

- Primary responsibility for the commercial evaluation.

- Coordinate as required, Legal, Risk Management input into contractor exceptions.

- Draft and issue all proper and adequate notices to contractors.

- Invoices (verify hours, rates and charges, contract milestone payment amounts, amount and documents required for final invoices, circulate payment certificates for approval, monitor payment cycle for contract compliance).

- Issue to contractors, requests for proposals to perform additional work.

- Receive contractor change proposals and coordinate the review.

- Responsible for contract interpretation with consultation of Supervisor/Manager of Contracts and/or Legal.

- Prepare or assist in the preparation of contract correspondence.

- Receive and review contractor daily / weekly reports.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

- Post secondary (degree, designation or certificate) in business, law, engineering or construction field an asset.

- Experience with a variety of contracted services, and compensation models, with solid technical knowledge of services contracted.

- Working knowledge of the legal aspects of contracts (contract and tort).

- Experience in the formation of significant commercial negotiations, purchase agreements.

- Experience with construction claims and a working knowledge of the arbitration/litigation process.

- Good working knowledge of local, provincial, national and global contractor community.

- Ability to read engineering drawings.

- 8 - 10 years of contracts management experience.

Position Requirements:

- Knowledge on environmental issues related to the construction of large infrastructure projects in sensitive environments.
- Experience in the construction and operation of large (+400km, +35 inch diameter) pipelines.
- Experience in working in diverse environments, including biologically sensitive, remote, rugged terrains, and high elevation locations.
- Experience in the mitigation and minimization of environmental related impacts during both the construction and operation of large pipeline projects.
- Experience in the development and implementation of state-of-the-art environmental programs to manage environmental performance during pipeline construction, such as the implementation of:
o Waste Management Plans
o Erosion Control & Reinstatement Plans
o Hydrostatic Test Water Management Plans
o Pollution Prevention Plans
o Access Management Plans
o Biorestoration Management Plans
o Ecological Management Plans
o Wildlife Management Plans
o Invasive Species Management Plans
o Compliance Monitoring Plans
o Biodiversity Monitoring Plans
- Experience in internationally recognized environmental best practices related to large pipeline construction.
- Experience in the development and implementation of an integrated environmental, community affairs and health & safety management system for both the construction and operation of large infrastructure projects. This shall include project control plans such as:
o Assurance Plans
o Non Conformance & Corrective Action Procedures
o Management of Change Procedures
- Knowledge in ISO certification ready management systems.
- Skilled insupervising activities of field environmental personnel.
- Proven ability to conduct environmental audits for suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of project activities.
- Experienced in investigating environmental incidents; provide reporting and recommend/follow action(s) to completion.

- Advise the Management Team on project contract needs, objectives, and requirement
- Establish contract management and subcontracting procedures and that the processes meet contractual requirements
- Ensure communication between the Project Team and Contractors are consistent with contract terms and conditions
- Develop and execute processes that advance the project`s procedures, goals, and objectives
- Communicate with the Management Team on project contract management and subcontracting activities, progress, and issues

- Oversee relevant Contractor`s planning resources to ensure appropriate work procedures are followed in developing project planning deliverables for shut down work
- Assess Management of Change impact for assigned activities
- Monitor and control the Project to agreed plans and processes and report schedules and progress of the shutdown work relative to the plans and forecasts
- Interface with engineering, execution, construction, controllers and other functions as needed

Our client, a leading owner/operator requires a Reservoir Engineer Team Lead to work in their highly successful GOM team.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead/Participate in history match studies on deepwater reservoirs incorporating the full range of static and dynamic uncertainty with the goal to determine the optimum field development concept while managing the uncertainties
- Mentor reservoir engineers with focus on fostering technical growth and soft skills development
- Engaged with the greater organization to adopt and develop Best Practices
- Compile performance ranges and uncertainty analysis models to facilitate full-field production forecasting, decisions analysis, economic analyses
- Actively participate in Partner meetings and technical discussions
- Ensure high quality and timely delivery of; Reserves, Asset Value Plans and FDPs with emphasis on fit-for-purpose reservoir engineering methodology
- Facilitate quality assurance in subsurface technical work and participate in Peer Assists and Technical Assurance Reviews
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated ability to develop people technical and soft skills
- Project lead on sub-surface model updates
- Reservoir engineering experience with emphasis on reservoir simulation, uncertainty analysis, and economics
- Sound understanding of classical reservoir engineering principles, production forecasting, reserves estimation and classification, fluid and rock characterization.
- Functional understanding of geology, geophysics, petrophysics, and reservoir characterization issues and how they relate to reservoir performance and development planning, in particular GOM deep water experience is a preference.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, particularly for technical presentations.
- Self-motivated to learn and adopt new technologies and impart knowledge to others.
- Proactive analytical skills with attention to details and process improvements.
