This senior role will involve full multi office P&L responsibility, managing a number of technical specialist staff, plus new business development responsibility.
The role will involve leading the technical team, you will become a pivotal technical resource within the business and must therefore have a proven background within Drilling, Completions, plus ideally have the exposure to a Consultancy environment, so you appreciate the importance on spotting new opportunities and continuous new business development.
The candidate must have a thorough understanding of the commercial and contractual requirements to win and execute a project.
The candidate will lead projects, including developing cost and time estimates, recommending the latest technology and applying sound engineering practices, whilst taking part in on-going risk assessments.
Knowledge of specialised skills would be beneficial, such as underbalanced drilling, TTRD, deep water drilling, coalbed methane / CO2 / gas storage methods.
A demonstrated ability to compile and complete technical reports, plus presenting data, interpretations and reports to clients.
As a senior member of the business you will be asked to assist in the mentoring, coaching and development of less experienced staff.
You will be an integral member of the team so the ideal candidate with be Degree Level Educated or equivalent with operational experience in drilling & completions. Some experience in a new business development or a consultancy lead role would also be advantageous.

To work in partnership with the Manager Major Project Delivery in identifying, developing and implementing strategies aimed at supporting the delivery of a range of projects in accordance with specific project goals and objectives.
Role Contribution:
- Manage and coordinate the Project functional areas of Finance, Legal, Procurement, Operations Interface, Project Approvals and Project Administration.
- Liaise with the Manager Major Project Delivery and the Manager WHS & Risk to provide a coordinated and cohesive approach to the provision of professional services to each Project team.

- To work with project managers to anticipate, identify, manage and resolve matters that could cause a project to miss a goal or objective.

A leading Oil & Gas Operator are seeking an experienced Completions Engineer to manage the delivery of all completion activities for the project whilst assisting with the preparation of documentation necessary for project milestones (Peers, Pre-FEED, FEED and FID documents (including Field Development Plan).
Your Responsibilities will include:
Organize and control inter-discipline coordination, make the necessary technical arbitration between the different disciplines and keep all parties informed;
Contribute to Project budget, schedule and reporting preparation and update;
Contribute to Project execution and contractual strategy for drilling & completion
Model alternative completion scenarios.
Tubing design and performance modelling.
Multilateral wells; candidate selection, design, and installation.
Mono-bore well construction.
New well contingency planning and workovers.
The successful candidate will need a minimum of 10 years Drilling & Completions experience and have the ability to plan and control early stages of well completions, including, tubular design, materials selection, and integration of equipment.
Knowledge of horizontal/multi-lateral well, smart well completions, completion & reliability is essential.

Working across the up & downstream teams, you will ensure strong core process engineering capability. You will work within a multi-discipline team, delivering conceptual studies through the development cycle (Assess, Select and Basis of Design). The role requires specialist professional knowledge and significant relevant industry experience.
