Skill: Senior Training Officer ( Safety / HSE / EHS)

(Oil & Gas Experience on major operators would be an advantage)

Location: Qatar.

Requirements:

Must hold the following Qualifications:
- Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector, or
- Certificate IV Workplace trainer and assessor
- Chartered member of IOSH or Safety Institute of Australia or equal International membership
- University Qualifications in Health and Safety
General Responsibilities
- Develop educational, training development and training systems policies, developing strategies for the implementation of these policies, commenting on strategies, managing the training systems capability.
- Overseeing and managing all ESOHR training activities within the training centre, ensuring all practices and procedures are observed and applied and responsible for the implementation of Operational Integrity Management System, including petrochemical factory setting.
- Analysing training and educational proposals, administering accreditation programs, providing technical direction and providing training systems support to all training schools.
- Producing technology-based-training and distance education and training, educating staff to the standard required in communications skills.
- Conduct Australian familiarization and English training for foreign students, instructing in English as a second/foreign language and cross-cultural awareness training; and developing training.

Achievements
- Developed and conducted emergency rescue and fire fighting training exercises for On-Shore Plant/ and Off-Shore platforms.
- Delivered Government Registered Training Organization approved training packages including job safety analysis.
- Contract safety officer role with multiple roles on self elevating platform jack-up rig with a capacity of 207 POB, responsible for Off-Shore rig safety induction
- Responsible for On-Shore to conduct safety meetings, coordinate and conduct drills, regulatory inspections/monitoring and training, toolbox talks, HazCom, HazOps risk assessment and behavioural safety programs, conducting periodic test and calibration of H2S/CH4 gas monitors system including portable and personal detectors and acted as responsible officer for major shutdowns.
- Conducted extra duties as well as professional duties such as procurement, budget, committees, audit board, spot-checking/stocktaking.
- Design, development and delivery of a training course providing an introduction to human factors for engineers .

Job Description:

Develops, coordinates, and implements policies, procedures, and programs encompassing all aspects of training, training management, training development and competency.

Responsible for preparing the annual training plan, preparing and overseeing the preparation of training courses, tracking and reporting on training progress at RasGas sites.

Communicates training policies and practices to ensure compliance, compiles reports, and oversees all training conducted.

Required Disciplines will be as followed:

Mechanical : Piping, Piping/Welding, Presssure Test, Static Equipment, Rotating, Equipment Preservation, Painting , Refractory, Fireproofing, Valve Test, NDT/PWHT

Civil: Civil, Building, Concrete, Steel Structure

Welding Inspectors Urgently required for Saudi Arabia. (Must be Aramco Certified)
