DISCIPLINE ENGINEER / MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Assist Discipline Manager or Lead a Project.
Recruit staff according to Project requirements; review CVs, perform interviews and evaluate candidates suitability.
Assist with bid evaluations and estimates.
Assist with writing and maintaining office procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Extensive experience of engineering design in the Oil and Gas sector with significant experience in a lead role or managerial position.

Degree in structural or civil engineering with Chartered Engineer status.

Offshore experience, preferably with experience of topside/jacket engineering.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Due to increased workload and continual growth, a Deputy Chief Subsea Structural Engineer is required to Join Subsea Team based out of their offices in London.

The main duties of the Deputy Chief Engineer are:
Support the Chief Engineer in the running of the Structural team
Capable of providing valuable strategic assistance in complex projects or settings.
Seen as a recognized technical expert whose involvement substantially increases credibility of approach.
Ability to make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have a far-reaching impact on projects or activities of the company.
Ability to routinely serve as mentor or coach to staff enabling them to achieve their professional goals.
Demonstrable involvement in recruitment and/or training to meet resource requirements.

Interfaces closely with existing and future clients and represents INTECSEA Plays a central role in bid preparation and resource estimating.

Establishes deadlines, milestones, and man-hour estimates.

Direct several engineers and have overall responsibility for the technical and commercial performance of the project team

Plan, schedule, conduct and execute Engineering during the following phases: o Conceptual, Pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Design, Installation.
Provide technical expertise and support for your project team and the clients.
The Deputy Chief Subsea Structural Engineer will preferably have:
10+ years relevant experience
Experience in a lead or technical management role Capable of providing valuable strategic assistance in complex projects or settings.
Capable of leading a team of engineers Experience in mentoring less experienced engineers
Proven track record of successful Negotiations with Clients in proposal situations.
Proven track record of resolved issues that have risen during performance of work.
Ability to lead at all levels within the organization.
Proven track record of exceeding performance metrics. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction.

PROJECT DIRECTOR

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the UK our existing clients are developing plans to invest in long term, secure and low carbon sources of power. This involves improvement and life extension to existing assets as well as new build.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As Project Director you will be directing a number of project managers in the delivery of programmes for key clients. This will involve:

- The development of relationships with a range of client representatives at all levels
- Leading the operations contribution to deliver competitive and successful proposals for our clients.
- Delivering governance to the delivery of
- The promotion of a positive safety and quality culture internally and externally
- Mentoring and developing your team
- Supporting the client in discussions with the nuclear security regulator regarding strategy and programme
- Developing and maintaining excellent client relationships
- Supporting business development initiatives

ESSENTIAL:

- Extensive experience in the Oil Gas/Petrochemical/Nuclear industry from an operations, design or regulatory perspective
- Extensive experience in the delivery of projects measured within a safety, quality, schedule and cost environment
- A track record of promoting and advancing safety culture within a large organisation
- Experience in managing multiple regulator relationships and a working knowledge of the regulatory framework applied to new nuclear power stations
- A working knowledge of the nuclear power station lifecycle from sitting assessment and planning through to decommissioning
- Demonstrated capability in the recruitment, training, mentoring and development of personnel
- Demonstrated capability to grow internal and external networks

DESIRABLE:

- This role may require travel within the UK and the possibility of occasional travel within Europe
- English will be the project language but the ability to speak other European languages may be an advantage
- This role will require the achievement of appropriate security clearance; a pre-existing clearance may be an advantage

Construction Manager - Greenfield

Project:

The project is a new grass roots refinery located in West Africa.

The project will be executed by two PMC teams taking the lead PMC position working collaboratively with the second PMC to realize the overall Customer objectives.

Scope includes:

Leading overall PMC
Coordination and integration with PMC 2 covering jetty and tank farm
Development of overall project strategies and plans
Leading PMC for refinery facilities
Completion of conceptual design
Undertaking refinery FEED

The Construction Manager will initially be responsible to the Project Director for the establishment of construction strategies and constructability studies throughout the FEED (Front End Engineering Design) engineering phase and managing the construction activities. It is anticipated the construction manager will transition to the construction site to manage, within the confines of the PMC, execution of third party EPC contractors.

Purpose / Role:

To develop the construction strategies and plans for the project

Management of all construction aspects of the project thro effective team working to ensure the work is performed safely to agreed schedule to acceptable standard.
Provide leadership and direction to assigned team of PMC personnel to effectively coordinate, monitor and facilitate the work.

Key aims and objectives:

Develop and win new business
To lead and deliver the execution of a major project to a new or existing client
Develop staff performance through coaching and mentoring subordinates and peers

The issuing of directions for job close-out and the securing of the final project acceptance and contract release from client.

Essential Qualification:

UK Bachelors Degree or equivalent in appropriate project management or engineering discipline
Chartered Engineer or a member of appropriate project management institution

Desirable Qualification:

Masters Degree or MBA
Additional Project Management qualifications / Member Association for Project Management

Essential experience:

Experience in oil and gas engineering, either with an operator or with EC contractor
Construction Manager (onshore project) with experience in large scale onshore PMC Projects
Demonstrative experience in management of large, complex oil and gas projects both onshore and offshore
A broad knowledge of the project life cycle within oil and gas industry encompassing concept to handover and initial operation
A broad knowledge of multidiscipline engineering in the oil and gas industry
Commercial knowledge and awareness of contract typically encountered in the oil and gas industry

Desirable experience:

Construction management experience within Africa
