Join a leading Oil & Gas Operator on a major LNG project working in Japan. This role is working on a long-term contract. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong LNG and Static Equipment experience to develop their career further.
The position will involve:
-Reviewing and approving design and detailed engineering (EPC) related to static equipment and tanks
-Reviewing and approving Project General Specifications, technical bid evaluations and technical clarifications
-Supervising the design and selection of static equipment including vessels, tanks, heat exchangers etc.
-Supporting and guiding work carried out by Contractors for material design and specification, fabrication, transportation, installation and construction
-Participating in Design Reviews and Constructability Reviews
-Reviewing and approving vendor data including drawings, engineering data sheets, inspection and testing plans and other documents
-Provision of technical support at site during equipment installation, testing and commissioning
-Reviewing and approving technical queries, design changes and deviation requests etc.
As the ideal candidate you will have:
-Degree in Mechanical Engineering
-Conversant with codes such as ASME Sec VIII Div 1 & 2, AS 1210, ASTM, NACE, TEMA, API 660 / 661 / 662 / 650 and other related codes, standards and regulations
-Experience of CAD software such as PV Elite, Compress, Finglow and Tank etc. for design of pressure vessels, heat exchanges and tanks
-Capability to perform mechanical design using design codes for pressure vessels and tanks
-Conversant with materials, (especially low and high temperature), inspection and testing requirements and quality aspect
-Exposure to fabrication and various NDT techniques will be an added advantage.
-Ability for understanding and implementation of recommendation of various reviews such as safety, mechanical handling and human factor engineering (HFE)
-5 years minimum experience in a similar position
-Demonstrated engineering experience in provision of fabrication, construction & technical advice for oil and gas including onshore LNG projects
-Experience working in a client/operator team
