Our client who are one of the world`s leading research-based pharmaceutical and healthcare companies require a Process Engineer to join their team within the Irvine (North Ayrshire) site.
Job Description:
A key member of a Technical Team within a Value Stream supporting safe, compliant and robust operations from a Process Engineering perspective. Involved in technology transfers, process design, and identifying and implementing process improvements. Monitor production plant to identify issues and improvements to ensure compliant operations Increase knowledge and skills in line with the process engineering competency framework. Troubleshoot processes in a production environment to deliver its key performance indicators - safety, yield, cost, security of supply and quality Conduct risk and technical assessments to ensure safe and compliant implementation of change. Identify appropriate technology to provide a competitive advantage through improvement of cost or output Carry out process engineering activity on projects including front end design, URS, IQ, OQ, PQ to support change activities within a validation framework Specify automation design documents for both changes and capital projects to support change activities.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
Degree level (BSc/BEng) qualification in chemical engineering
Logical and analytical approach to problem solving
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple task/assignments to demanding deadlines.
Strong verbal, presentation and communication skills, demonstrable technical report writing skills.
Able to interact successfully with a wide range of people from differing disciplines and backgrounds.
Planning and execution skills
Can demonstrate knowledge of and competence in manufacturing operations and business processes.
Preferred Skills:
OE advocate/Green Belt accredited
Relevant experience in their technical discipline in a chemical or biotechnology function within the chemical/pharmaceutical industry
Knowledge of and competence in manufacturing operations and business processes
Experience of generating technical business cases or investment proposals
