NES Global is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, a leading owner/operator requires a Reservoir Engineer Team Lead to work in their highly successful GOM team.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead/Participate in history match studies on deepwater reservoirs incorporating the full range of static and dynamic uncertainty with the goal to determine the optimum field development concept while managing the uncertainties
- Mentor reservoir engineers with focus on fostering technical growth and soft skills development
- Engaged with the greater organization to adopt and develop Best Practices
- Compile performance ranges and uncertainty analysis models to facilitate full-field production forecasting, decisions analysis, economic analyses
- Actively participate in Partner meetings and technical discussions
- Ensure high quality and timely delivery of; Reserves, Asset Value Plans and FDPs with emphasis on fit-for-purpose reservoir engineering methodology
- Facilitate quality assurance in subsurface technical work and participate in Peer Assists and Technical Assurance Reviews
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated ability to develop people technical and soft skills
- Project lead on sub-surface model updates
- Reservoir engineering experience with emphasis on reservoir simulation, uncertainty analysis, and economics
- Sound understanding of classical reservoir engineering principles, production forecasting, reserves estimation and classification, fluid and rock characterization.
- Functional understanding of geology, geophysics, petrophysics, and reservoir characterization issues and how they relate to reservoir performance and development planning, in particular GOM deep water experience is a preference.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, particularly for technical presentations.
- Self-motivated to learn and adopt new technologies and impart knowledge to others.
- Proactive analytical skills with attention to details and process improvements.
